Playing in unsafe weather and top sports movies
In our sports segment of the PGL Pod this week we have a discussion on playing sports under extreme weather. This conversation stemmed from the blizzard game played last week between Costa Rica and the USA in World Cup qualifying. We also talk about other “mother nature” effected games in history.

(League)PGL Pod Episode 4a Show Notes
In Episode 4a, FatLightng and Bogeyexpress were joined by a third member of the PGL staff, Lazzarone.

- Lazz introduced himself and gave us a bio. (He mentions he came here in 2000, where I believe he meant 2008!)
- NBPL Playoff update
- Gave some information on CFPL and how you can join that league with 2 open spots. Join by getting on the wait list by clicking on forums, registering and sign the wait list under the CFPL league area.
- Lazz gave us an update on the CFCL (our invite only NCAA league) and some history.
- We previewed some key matchups for a few games in Week 3 & 4 and even gave our predictions on all the user vs user games.
All in all was a good episode having Lazz on for the first time. Just need to make sure Lazz isn’t typing on his keyboard so close to his microphone!! Great episode guys. Part 4b will be out in the next couple days. I am hoping to place the sports section of our podcast onto iTunes so others in the “World” can listen to it!

NBPL Playoffs
NBPL Playoffs are entering the Conference Finals.
In the West, we have the Memphis Grizzlies (flacoh) taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In the East, we have the Chicago Bulls (FatLightng) taking on the New York Knicks (ATLbryant).

In episode 4 Bogey and I will be joined by special guest Lazzarone. We will get an update on our College Football leagues and let Lazz weigh in on some MFPL talk with us. Bogey and I will preview a few games for Weeks 3 & 4 of the MFPL and we will hear the latest on the NBPL playoffs.
In our second segment we will talk about Extreme playing conditions in sports and we will also discuss some top sports movies (and even some of our favorites not in the ranking list!).
As always, we will have “The Rant” and a famous quote.

PGL is now podcasting!
We have started a podcast as I am sure a few of you have listened to.
I am joined with Bogeyexpress as we give you weekly updates on our leagues and also do a 2nd segment of sports talk and even a little ranting and raving on real world issues!
Eventually we will get the podcasts linked to iTunes and some other medias, but for now you can still listen to them through archive.org. They will even play on iPhones and Android devices from there.

New front page look
PGL now using blog system for our front page.
This will allow us to update the site more frequently. Also we will be able to discuss our podcasts as I am hoping to grow the site with listeners even for our sports talk side of the podcast.
Of course, we will still use the forums for scheduling our games.
